An even more exact and efficient control would be feasible if the laser and chiller communicated directly, and the chiller could cool anticipatorily based on the current laser performance instead of responding with a delay.

In a time in which networked manufacturing is becoming standard and an increasing number of people are using smart home technologies, this thought is much more than a mere vision.
