UK – Renishaw has launched its latest range of 3D printing machinery – The RenAM 500S Flex, a single laser additive manufacturing machine and the RenAM 500Q Flex, a four laser AM machine. Both the machines are variants of the RenAM 500 range and come equipped with a powder handling system which proves beneficial for manufacturers who regularly swap build materials during production.
Manufacturers are increasingly looking to automation to drive operational efficiency and overcome skill shortages on the shop floor. However, only with process automation technologies in place can you implement the physical automation of your operations. Physical automation in turn leads to increased productivity, and productivity to sustainability through reduced waste and energy consumption.
Machine tool builder Dawn Machinery (Taiwan) selected Renishaw’s XK10 alignment laser system over its traditional granite square and dial indicator metrology equipment to develop high-precision machine tools efficiently. The compact digital solution can measure geometric as well as rotational errors across all types and sizes of machine tools.
